Gracie comes home

Gracie is another  lucky adoptee we see during our visits at Animal House Calls.Gracie looked great. Since we were not  sure of her past exposure to other  animals, we  wormed

her. Whipworms are not always present in a stool sample. Round and hook worms are more often found and diagnosed as a source of weight loss and G.I. upset.

Generally,  dogs like Gracie have a stool sample checked out. Regardless of the findings, we often worm the pet as an added precaution. This approach is one adopted from CDC and American Veterinary Medical Association advisors. Gracie is doing well and loves her new family.
